What we keep, what we don't, and the deal
Home Still Works is run by Jon Barney in Taylorsville, Utah. This page is the whole policy.
What we collect
| When you | We keep | We don't keep |
|---|---|---|
| Run a free check | Your email, state, the amounts and dates you enter, and the verdict | Names, addresses, company names beyond the dropdown. There is no account |
| Build a kit | Your email, the product, your state, and the earliest deadline the kit found | Your name, street address, phone, the contractor's or company's details, claim and contract numbers, and every letter. Those are built in your browser and never sent to us |
| Pay for a kit | Stripe handles the payment and tells us only that it succeeded and which email paid | Your card number. It never touches our site |
What we do with it
- Send you your result, and one reminder before the earliest deadline the check found.
- Look at totals, such as which states people are in and which denial reasons are most common, without names attached.
- Fix the site when you tell us a page is wrong.
What we never do: sell or rent your information, pass it to law firms or lead brokers, run advertising, or add you to anyone else's list. No contractor, warranty company, or lawyer pays us anything.
Visit counting
We may use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. It sets a cookie so repeat visits aren't double counted. It does not see what you type. Advertising features and data sharing with other Google products are off. If you use a blocker, the page works exactly the same.
Where it lives
Form submissions are stored by Netlify, our hosting provider, in the United States. Payments are processed by Stripe. Your kit's saved answers sit in your own browser's local storage so you can come back to them, and you can clear them any time by clearing site data.
Your choices
Email jon@homestillworks.com to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. We'll do it within a few days and confirm.
Terms for the kits
- What you're buying. A one-time document generated from the information you enter and from public statutes and agency rules. Save and print it as many times as you like.
- What it isn't. Legal advice, a law firm, or a guarantee of any outcome. The kit describes what each form is and where it goes; whether to send any of it is your decision. Deadlines and dollar figures are dated and should be confirmed with the agency or court before you rely on them.
- Accuracy. The document is only as good as the facts you enter. If a rule on this site is wrong, tell us and it gets fixed the same day.
- Refunds. If the kit doesn't do what this site says it does, email us within 30 days and we'll refund the purchase, no argument.
- Prices. Shown on the page before you pay. No subscription, no renewal, no hidden fee.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes and anyone on the reminder list gets a note. Questions go to jon@homestillworks.com.
